KICKING LESSONS

PRIVATE ONE ON ONE LESSONS $100.00

Lessons are conducted exclusively at the 5 Star training facility in Berlin NJ.

Lessons last 60 minutes.

Athletes should arrive 10-15 minutes prior to their lesson to begin jogging, stretching and securing their equipment. Parents are always welcome to watch and those wishing to exercise can always shag footballs!

Lessons are based around the student's abilities. All aspects of the training are fully explained and kids are encouraged to ask questions. Positive reinforcement is a staple when training at 5 Star kicking, and your child will excel because of it.

On the field, video is always used during the lesson which allows for immediate review of their mechanics. At a midpoint of the lesson we gather in the office where their technique & fundamentals are reviewed on big screen tv supplied with heat and or air conditioning. Cold water is always supplied during the hot & humid weather.

Parents are encouraged to bring lawn or beach chairs and sit directly on the field, as well as sit in on film analysis to observe.

For those unable to travel but still desiring lessons I am available to travel within the tri-state area. Call to discuss pricing.

Initial lessons are 2 hours in length and include a 60-page training manual as well as video emailed to you within 72 hours of lesson. Please call for price.

I ask parents to please understand that I require 24 hours if canceling a lesson. This will allow for ample time to try and fill their slot. Less than 24 hours notice will require that the lesson canceled be paid in full at the next appointment.

Likewise, if I cancel your lesson with less than 24 hours notice, I will provide you with a free lesson.

TRANSFORMING FROM SOCCER TO FOOTBALL

After several years of soccer practice and thousands of kicks and drills, the body develops what we call "muscle memory." the memory developed in the sport of soccer, while crucial to that particular sport, is not conducive to success in kicking a football.

Muscle memory is more of a reaction, whereas the athlete performs his or her skill without giving significant thought to the mechanics or fundamentals of their task.

Much like riding a bicycle those who have acquired the skill simply get on the bike and begin to pedal, because their pre-existing muscle memory is locked away in their subconscious. To ensure a smooth transition to placekicking the new student is taught the most basic of fundamentals utilizing specific drills necessary to create muscle memory that will promote a mechanically smooth and productive swing.
